St Marys 3-5 Young Irelands 3-5 There was never than a hairs breath between theses two well-matched and committed sides. The only exception was shortly before the break when the Ardee boys-backboned by James Conlon, Ryan Rooney, Rory Cousins and Stephen Bingham-produced an unanswered scoring surge to go ahead by 2-4 to 1-1. Young Irelands laid on a vibrant second half performance during which they scored twice as much as St Marys. Mainly responsible for this scoring surge was Fergal Sheekey, Tadhg Mc Grory, Dylan O Hanlon and Daniel Mullen. With a few minutes to go the teams were locked at 3-5 a piece. Both teams had opportunities to snatch the winner but it wasn't to be and a draw was a fair result.
