Dundalk Young Irelands held their inaugural Golf Classic in Greenore Golf Club on Friday 29th August. A total of 43 teams teed off in good weather conditions. Organiser Barry McDermott was pleased with the turnout Dundalk Young Irelands held their inaugural Golf Classic in Greenore Golf Club on Friday 29th August. A total of 43 teams teed off in good weather conditions. Organiser Barry McDermott was pleased with the turnout and he paid tribute to the staff of Greenore and the various club members who helped to make the day a great success. A group of seasoned golfers led by Colm Coburn posted an early 96 that held the lead for most of the day. It was late in the evening before the last teams came in with Pat Durnin’s team returning with 97. |
