Dundalk Young Irelands reviewed their season at their AGM, which took place at their clubrooms, Pairc Eire Og on Tuesday , 30th. Novemer.

The meeting began with prayers for deceased members and friends of the club.and especially for President Fr. Mulligan, who is ill at present and was unable to attend.

Outgoing Chairman, John Laverty welcomed the attendance. In his address he congratulated the Intermediate team and management on winning the Intermediate F.C and on maintaining their Division 2 status. John also thanked the ladies who prepared food and drinks for the team during the season. Players and Team mentors at all grades were complimented  for their efforts during the year ..He was very appreciative of the Club Committee who assisted the Club and in particular the individual Juvenile Team Mentors , Coaches & Selectors . The great support received from all Club Sponsors was appreciated . 

In his address, outgoing Secretary Tony Hande congratulated the Intermediate team in winning the Intermediate Championship . He also thanked all who helped the club in any way during the season. Tony congratulated all the club members who are involved with Louth underage teams and Kieran Maguire in being selected as Louth Under 21 Manager for 2011. He also thanked the clubs sponsors, particularly Brubakers, Sony Playstation and Designer Kitchens. The Ladies Committee would be a vital part of the Club in the coming year .

Asst. Treasurer Barry McDermott [ deputising for Treasurer Tara McDermott who was unable to attend on the night ] outlined the financial position of the Club and in the Report noted operating costs were down but  in these difficult times so was Income . The Club needed the full support of all its members to meet its committments and he outlined a number of initiatives for the new year which would hopefully obtain universal support . 

In the elections that followed, John Laverty stood down as Chairman after three years and was succeeded by Tony Hande , with Peter O`Donoghue elected as  Vice Chairnan.

Pat Hamilton was elected Secretary of the Club with Donal Duffy as Assistant Secretary Tara and  were returned unapposed as Treasurer and Asst. Treasurer ,

Kieran Maguire was returned as Manager of the Intermediate team for a third season., with Laurance O`Hanlon resuming his post as Junior Team Manager for 2011.

Following the Election of Officials the following topics were discussed 
1. Convetion Motions esp. Motions re. Timing of week-day Matches.
2. Availability of County Players for Promotion / Relegation matches.
3. Updating Club notification system via Text Alert & Email notices.
4. Fundraising for 2011... members ideas for consideration at first Committee 
    Meeting  following the A.G.M.
5. Bigger effort required for 2011 re. additional support for Juvenile Mentors.   
6. Tributes paid to John Laverty by various Club members.
The incoming Committee would be making arrangements re. Presentation Function and a number of sub Committees  would be examined. .
Following the discussions Tony Hande thanked the members for their attendance and their contributions to the Meeting .
